Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data Lyrdeo collects when you use the service, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We follow GDPR principles for users in the EU/UK and CCPA-equivalent rights for users in California.

1. Information we collect

Account information: name, email address, hashed password (or a third-party identifier when you sign in with a provider), profile picture, and locale.

Content you upload: audio files, lyrics, custom fonts, brand assets, and project metadata.

Generated content: transcripts, alignment data, rendered video files, and thumbnails produced from your input.

Usage information: device type, browser, IP address, pages viewed, and feature interactions, collected only when you accept analytics cookies.

Billing information: we do not store full card details. Our payment processor holds the customer record; we keep a customer reference, plan, status and invoices.

2. How we use your information

To provide the core service (rendering, alignment, storage, delivery), to operate paid plans, to detect abuse and protect the service, to send transactional emails (export ready, payment receipt, account notices), and, only with your consent, to understand how the product is used so we can improve it.

3. How we share your information

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share the minimum data needed with vetted service providers in the following categories:

Cloud hosting and storage: to store your audio, exports and project assets.
Payment processing: to handle subscriptions, invoices and customer support around billing.
Content processing: for transcription, alignment and vocal isolation. Audio is sent over encrypted connections and is not retained for model training.
Email delivery: to send transactional notices.
Product analytics and error tracking: only when you accept analytics cookies.

Each provider is bound by a written data-processing agreement. We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the safety of users.

4. Data retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Project assets and exports are retained while the project exists; deleted projects are permanently removed within 30 days. Telemetry events are retained for 90 days. Invoices are kept for the period required by tax law (typically up to seven years).

5. Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your personal data from your account settings, or by writing to [email protected]. Users in the EU/UK have the right to lodge a complaint with their data protection authority. California residents have the right to know what we collect, request deletion, and opt out of any sale of personal information (we do not sell personal data).

6. International transfers

Lyrdeo operates primarily from the European Union. Some service providers may process data in other jurisdictions, including the United States. For those transfers we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or other safeguards required by applicable law.

7. Security

All traffic is served over HTTPS. Storage is encrypted at rest. Passwords are hashed with industry-standard algorithms. Access to production systems is limited to authorized personnel and audited. No system is perfectly secure; if a personal-data breach affects you we will notify you and the relevant regulators without undue delay.

8. Children

Lyrdeo is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us so we can delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or an in-app notice and the “last updated” date above will be revised. Continued use of Lyrdeo after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
